Minster Green Festival and Opening
10:30am on Saturday 11th October (on Minster Green) by Paralympic silver-medal-winning canoeist Jack Eyers, with Wimborne’s Deputy Mayor, Cllr Simon Wheeler; Town Crier, Chris Brown; Planet Wimborne Chairperson, Linda Bunting; and The Quarterjacks Marching Band.
'When Less is More' is a Planet Wimborne Green Festival event with Patrick Grant from the hit BBC series, The Great British Sewing Bee, on Saturday 18th October at Queen Elizabeth School, Wimborne.
Take a short walk along the River Allen. Listen to the water and the sounds of wildlife above and below the surface. Explore creative responses to what you hear in and around the river.
Please arrive at Cafe @ The Allendale before 2pm to meet Adrian Newton, who will lead the tour with Hannah White & Stephen Shiell (Deep Listening practitioners & sound artists). Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for this outdoor tour. The route is accessible.
This free bird ringing event is being held at Deans Court on Saturday 18th October. This is a great opportunity to join the Wilding Wimborne team and check the birds that are found locally to us. Please wear appropriate clothing and foot wear for this outdoor event.
