The climate and ecological crisis can feel overwhelming. If you’d like to spend a relaxing evening turning eco-anxiety into eco-action, then this session is for you. The Makers and Shakers is a new Planet Wimborne group and is really excited about hosting this first crafting workshop.
Light refreshments and materials will be supplied and ideas/patterns available for those who would like them. No experience needed!
Doors open at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start. We will finish at 9pm.

Oly Rush is passionate about the state of our seas and beaches. Oly, from Upton near Poole, swam the entire length of the Jurassic Coast in September 2020 and is the fastest person to swim around the Isle of Wight.

You, Me & Nature is a Planet Wimborne Green Festival event with leading wildlife presenter Megan McCubbin. It's taking place on Sunday 15th October at Queen Elizabeth School, Wimborne.
Doors will open at 4pm for refreshments, and the opportunity to browse eco displays and talk to local green groups and school sustainability teams. Megan's talk will start at 5pm, with Q&A to follow. Signed copies of her latest book will be on sale.
Planet Wimborne invites local quiz groups and individuals to a fund-raising Quiz Night on Thursday October 5, to support the 2023 Planet Wimborne’s Green Festival.
This Quiz promises to be a fun and entertaining evening of questions on Green issues including water, trees, politics, history and geography – from easy to challenging and everything in between.
Come as an individual or come as a group of up to 6 people. There will be prizes, a raffle and licensed bar – bring your own snacks too.
