Dorset COP (Conference of the Parties) is Dorset’s very own opportunity for the community to have its say on the climate and ecological crises. By bringing together a wide cross section of community-based groups from across the county we hope to raise awareness of the need and desire to act locally, in a way that puts people at the heart of decisions and is socially just.
This year's event is on Saturday 1st November at The Exchange, Sturminster Newton

DEED warmly invites you to attend their Annual General Meeting. The AGM will be preceded by a talk by Pauline Stirling who will share the Earth Museum’s new learning programme: ‘The Air We Breathe’.
Pauline is a retired teacher, freelance educational consultant and Director at DEED. Pauline works with the Earth Museum, a not-for-profit virtual museum on the Isle of Wight.
Wimborne Repair Café is all about fixing things. A place to bring along your items in need of repair that would otherwise be wasted.
The Repair Cafe is run by the community, for the community.
This event not only provides repair services but is also a space for people to come together for a social chat and to pass on skills.
Clothing, textiles, sewing, small electrical, toys, ceramics, jewellery, small furniture and bicycles. Our team of volunteer fixers are on hand to give your items a new lease of life. Free of charge (but donations welcome).
World Toilet Day – This World Toilet Day, let’s make the invisible visible.
We are excited to announce that Patrick Grant, from the BBC series ‘The Great British Sewing Bee' will be speaking at Queen Elizabeth’s School on Saturday 18th October at 5pm (doors open at 4.15pm). Patrick is a regular on TV and radio, and has been a key figure on The Great British Sewing Bee since its first series in 2013.
The 2025 Green Festival will be officially opened at 10:30am on Saturday 11th October (on Minster Green) by Paralympic silver-medal-winning canoeist Jack Eyers, with Wimborne’s Deputy Mayor, Cllr Simon Wheeler; Town Crier, Chris Brown; and Planet Wimborne Chairperson, Linda Bunting.
