So, that's it for another year. We hope everyone who came along to one of our many and varied events enjoyed them and came away feeling inspired to take action for themselves and for our fragile planet. We hope you can now reflect on the theme of the Festival, 'Buy Better, Be More' to re-think how and where you spend the money in your pocket.
We started with a superb day to open the Festival with community stalls on the Minster Green and the Transport Hub in the square. We finished on a high with Sewing Bee's Patrick Grant blowing away any cobwebs with his incisive look at what is wrong with our obsession with buying poor quality clothing that provides no economic and community benefit to the UK. He certainly spoke to the theme of the Festival and laid down a challenge to look before we buy.
We are now gathering the feedback from the events so we can take stock of the week and start planning for next year!
If you were inspired by anything you saw and heard over the week please consider becoming a supporter of Planet Wimborne or joining one of our many community groups. If you missed some of the talks, a few will be available on-line soon.
A Huge Thanks to everyone who came along!
From The Planet Wimborne Team.
