Toilet and tap twinning map

You might ask what ‘twinning’ means. Some of us have already twinned our own toilets as part of the Tearfund project. The Twinning makes a donation towards providing sanitation in areas that have none. We might take for granted the toilets available to us in our own homes. It seems a basic right and to think that there might not even be a reasonable toilet in your neighbourhood is strange to us. In addition with the Corona virus pandemic washing our hands has become an important step in preventing the virus spreading. Making access to taps for washing essential.

The following map shows some of the toilets and taps twinned around the world by residents and organisations in Wimborne and the surrounding area.

If you are interested in twinning your own toilets and taps then you can do that at https://www.toilettwinning.org. Please let us know if you do so we can update the map!
