Hold the date for our 2024 festival : 12th - 19th October.
For this annual Green Festival, our amazing community groups, businesses, organisations and churches join forces to put together a week of fantastic events and activities designed to encourage us all to live more sustainably. We were particularly excited that our 2023 programme included Springwatch and Animal Park presenter Megan McCubbin headlining the opening weekend with an event at QE School.
During the Green Festival week there are a whole host of inspiring talks, plus craft sessions for all ages, the Saturday Green Fair on the Minster Green, tree-planting, a green trail to follow around Wimborne – and much more.
The free, festival brochure with full details of the programme will be available a few weeks before the event at the East Dorset Information Centre in the High Street and at the Fair Ground shop.

Planet Wimborne invites local quiz groups and individuals to a fund-raising Quiz Night on Thursday April 25, to support the 2024 Planet Wimborne’s Green Festival.
This Quiz promises to be a fun and entertaining evening of questions on Green issues including water, trees, politics, history and geography – from easy to challenging and everything in between.
Come as an individual or come as a group of up to 6 people. There will be prizes, a raffle and licensed bar – bring your own snacks too.
