The 2026 Theme is ‘Be in Nature, Be Creative, Be Well’.
Come along to Planet Wimborne’s annual Green Festival to meet local groups and hear about all the great environmental activities going on in the town and surrounding area.
The Festival is going from strength to strength and we believe we have something for everyone: from the Minster Fair on the first Saturday to craft workshops, walks and talks spread throughout the week. (Some events must be pre-booked, due to limits on numbers, even though most are free.)
The Green Festival will be opened at 10:30am on Saturday 10th October (on Minster Green) by local artist Jason Pizzey: with Wimborne’s Mayor, Cllr Jeff Hart; Town Crier, Chris Brown; and Planet Wimborne Chairperson, Linda Bunting. Vikki Slade (MP Mid Dorset & North Poole) will also present Wilding Wimborne with the national Bees’ Needs Champions award which recognises and celebrates examples of exceptional initiatives undertaken to support pollinators.
We are excited to announce that Charlie Dimmock, BBC ‘Garden Rescue’ presenter will be speaking at Queen Elizabeth’s School on Saturday 17th October.
