Drawing on doctoral research and work with local authorities, the NHS and community organisations, speaker Rosie Equi will explore the benefits of social prescribing (defined by NHS England as an approach that connects people to activities, groups, and services in their community to meet the practical, social and emotional needs that affect their health and wellbeing (https://www.england.nhs.uk/personalisedcare/social-prescribing/)), and how community connections, volunteering, nature and local activities support health & wellbeing.

Rosie’s talk should last about an hour including a Q&A

Access to the Wimborne Community Centre is from King Street car park.  Doors will open at 7.15pm for refreshments prior to a 7.30pm start.

Please consider travelling to the event by walking, wheeling or by bus (buses will drop you off in Wimborne Square and the venue is 5 minutes away). If you do drive (there are several car parks nearby) please consider car sharing.
