Join us for talks on the health of our local rivers and the projects helping to protect and restore them.
Hear from Zoë Randle, Dorset Catchment Partnerships’ Coordinator, about the inspiring work taking place across Dorset to protect and improve our rivers. Dorset Catchment Partnerships brings together organisations, farmers, land managers, communities and businesses with a shared vision for healthier, more resilient waterways. Through collaboration and partnership working, DCP supports a wide range of initiatives, from improving water quality and restoring rivers to delivering natural flood management, enhancing habitats and promoting sustainable land management. Citizen science is also at the heart of this work, empowering local people to connect with their waterways, contribute valuable environmental data and play an active role in shaping the future of Dorset’s river catchments.
The Stour Valley Park Project is an initiative to create a green corridor and riverside park along the River Stour in Dorset. This talk will explore the vision and strategy behind the project, highlighting how partners have worked together to build a strategy which enhances nature and improves access.
Doors open at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start. There will an opportunity for questions after each talk.
The Church is accessible. There are toilets and accessible toilets available.

Travel arrangements
Please consider travelling to the event by walking, wheeling or by bus (Morebus 13 & 13a buses will drop you off within 50 metres of the church; and the 4 & 6 by the Quarter Jack Surgery on Lewins Lane about 5 minutes away. The 3 bus will drop you off in the Town centre and it is about a 10 minute walk to the Church). If you do drive, please consider car sharing.
