Climate Emergency - Corfe Mullen

In August 2019, Extinction Rebellion Wimborne approached Corfe Mullen Village Council (now Town Council) with regards to declaring a climate and ecological emergency. As a result of the declaration, the council has embarked on plans to reduce their own carbon emissions whilst playing a lead role within the community, helping local residents and businesses to reduce their own carbon impact. 

The Community Engagement day will provide a place for interested individuals to discuss the parish's response to the emergency and will consist of a mixture of talks, participation and discussion activities. The keynote speaker is Chris Shaw of Climate Outreach.
