We are returning to Ainsley Road, a site we have visited frequently and despite its challenges we think that in the coming years this woodland fringe will contribute to a delightful shaded walk along the bridleway. In the middle of last summer, it was causing us a great deal of concern but a good watering saved the day and many of the trees and shrubs perked up. It now needs a good bramble trim and some bracken removal; we will also be making spaces so we can replace the trees we lost last year. If time permits, we will also plant.
We will meet on the bridleway at 10:00 which runs parallel to Ainsley Road. There is good parking on the roadside.
Please come in outdoor clothes with sensible footwear and gardening gloves. You might like to bring refreshment/ water.
If you can bring hedge shears that would be useful. But do not worry if you don’t have them as we have spare.
We expect to finish at 12:00.
