Wimborne Gardening Club is open to all those interested in growing and learning about growing produce, growing flowers and growing their own knowledge. We were formerly Wimborne Horticultural Society but we have taken the decision to reform, to encourage all ages and abilities. As a young expanding group we will welcome all members of society in the hope we may learn, make new friends and discover plenty of new knowledge and skills e.g. composting or recycling, all in a relaxed friendly environment. We have an annual WGC Autumn Show in September and also meet in the evening with a guest speaker on the first Monday in each month at the Allendale Community Centre in Wimborne. Started in 2002, National Allotments Week is an initiative which runs annually to help raise awareness of allotments and the role they play in helping people to live healthier lifestyles, grow their own food, develop friendships and bolster communities.
Our annual awareness week will run this year from the 11-17 August 2025,and we have chosen a theme of “Allotments and Wellbeing”
