Our aim is to improve and reduce the church’s environmental impact. We recognise that the world is changing fast and it is important to support action to reduce global warming and maintain biodiversity.
We care because it is God’s creation, not ours, and as a church we are committed to safeguard the integrity of creation and to sustaining the life of our planet.
The Minster has twice held Eco-Congregation Awards and since 2017 holds the Eco Church Silver award, which assesses all aspects of church life and management.

Donate your redundant IT equipment (laptops, PCs, tablets, phones, routers, digital cameras, games consoles, smart watches, satnavs and cables).
Donate IT collect redundant IT equipment and refurbish them or recycle their components to reduce waste and create new products. They then, for example, donate laptops to schools and families to help children struggling at home to continue their education.
Do you have crutches, surgical jackets or other medical kit lurking in your cupboards. The NHS don’t want it back and charity shops won’t take it, so what can you do with it?
Donate it to Ukraine Relief. They are in desperate need of medical kit that can be sent to Ukraine. The Minster Environment Group will be in the Minster on 26th April where you can drop off your kit for Ukraine Relief to collect.
